Blossom and Poppy has been a little dream of mine for a few years. I love to shop, I really do. I have always wanted to own my own little shop. I could picture it in my head. All the fun things I could sell:) The pretty items placed neatly on pretty shelves. I love finding beautiful, unique, and fun items. I am the kind of shopper that gets home and tries on everything I just bought. That is after I have called a few people to tell them about my exciting new stuff! I love little gifts and handmade items. I have favorite brands that I am very loyal to and special items that remind me of people I love. But I am a teacher and a mom and....and....and....
Then in January I found out that planetjill, a jewelry company I have been a rep for was no longer going to have a rep program. I could instead become a reseller of the jewelry I love so much, along with that I could sell other items. I weighed over the prospect of starting my own business and the more I pondered, the more excited I became. I am not ready to quit my day job. I love teaching, so blossomandpoppy.com was born.
It has been a labor of love. It has been a much more difficult task than I thought, but like most things in my life, that made me want it more. Deciding what to sell has been a task, as well. I am selling Planetjill, of course, but what other items would people want? I didn't have to look far to find the most amazing items that my crafty girlfriends make and the candles that I call "Donna" candles after my friend who introduced me to them. Clothing may be coming soon too. It will be a business that grows and changes as I learn more.
I hope that blossom and poppy has something unique and fun to offer. I hope that I am able to promote the businesses of other women who are so talented. I hope that everyone who buys an item feels the same excitement I do about it. I am anxious to get started!
